Sa ika 159th kaarawan ni Andres Bonifacio ay nagsagawa ng kilos protesta ang Bagong Alyansang Makabayan sa Crossing, Calamba City, Laguna.
Sa tuwing mahaharangan ng nagpo protesta ang kalsada ay agad na kumikilos ang kapulisan sa pangunguna mismo ni PLtCol. Milany E. Martirez gayun din ang POSO Traffic Control sa pangunguna ni Anastacio Castillo upang panatilihin ang daloy ng trapiko.
Nakaantabay din ang 2nd Infantry Division bilang suporta at mapanatili ng bawat ahensya ang kaayusan nito.
Ayon kay Kenneth Remontilla (UPLB) ng Anak Bayan Southern Tagalog ay sigaw nila na ibaba ang presyo ng bilihin at itaas ang sahod ng manggagawa. At huwag gawing prioridad ang ROTC ng mga estudyante.
Bago tuluyang kumagat ang dumilim ay tinapos ang kilos protesta. At nang makaalis sila ay sunod na ring nagpulasan ang kapulisan at gayun din ang ARMY 2nd Infantry Division na nanggaling pa sa Tanay Rizal.
Maliban sa sinira nila ang ilang effigies ay
Naging maayos at matiwasay ang kilos protesta at wala namang nagkasakitan.
Bagong Alyansang Makabayan Southern Tagalog (BAYAN ST) conducted a series of protest actions in commemoration of the 159th Birth Anniversary of Andres Bonifacio, underscoring the economic crisis marking the fifth month of the Marcos-Duterte tandem in office. This crisis severely affected workers and the urban poor.
“Sahod itaas, presyo ibaba!” was the central focus of the protest, recognizing Bonifacio as a symbol of workers and the urban poor. Campaigns regarding the food crisis, education sector, and public service were tackled during the protest.
The program consists of salubungan, big mural made by local artists, goods-shaped placards, reenactment of cry of pugadlawin, cultural performances.
The protest actions were joined by workers and workers’ unions, urban poor groups, progressive formations, and individuals this November 30, Bonifacio Day, decentralized activities were conducted in CALABARZON, in Crossing, Calamba City, Laguna
