A 23-year-old woman was arrested after the NAIA-DITG and PDEA’s operation in Caltex Gasoline Station, beside Merryland Subdivision, along Brgy. Dita, Santa Rosa Laguna today Dec. 21, 2022 3:30pm.
According to IA3 Gerald Javier, Deputy Task Group Commander/NAIA-IA DITG the suspected illegal drugs came from the country France.
It was detected by NAIA K9’s and seen on an x-ray, so a Controlled Delivery Operation was conducted.
Received the parcel identified as JOY BUATISTA a.k.a. AIRA ALMONTE y NALLES who refused to face the camera and this is where she was arrested.
It was declared to be children’s toys or stuffed toys, but when the box was opened, it revealed more or less 5,032 pills of illegal drugs. of ecstasy worth P8.5M sealed in 4 separate small improvised flat pouches.
The suspect will be charged of Section 21 Art II Of Republic Act no. 9165 or comprehensive dangerous drugs act of 2002.
