Four suspects were arrested recently in a joint buy-bust operation of Rizal Provincial Intelligence Unit and Rodriguez Municipal Police Station which resulted in the confiscation of suspected marijuana weighing more or less 12 kilos with estimated street value of Php 1,228,000.00 and the arrest of the suspects.

Based on the report, at about 12:40 AM of February 4, 2023, a joint buy-bust operation was conducted at BLK-22 Lot-4 South Ville 8A, Brgy. San Isidro, Rodriguez Rizal. The operation stemmed thru a confidential informant that a certain “alyas Boss” and his cohorts were behind the rampant selling of illegal drugs (Marijuana) at the said area. Moreover, the said suspect was already a target and subject for operation of Provincial Intelligence Unit prior to the tip of the informant.

After a careful surveillance and planning in coordination with PDEA4A the operation ensued led by PLTCOL AL-RIEZA S KINANG, Chief, PIU wherein a police officer acted as a poseur buyer managed to transact with the target suspect resulting to the arrest of ANJO ANSELMO y MANAIT a.k.a BOSS, JOMARI PASCUAL y PICARDAL a.k.a JOMAR, ERROL FRITZ SANTIAGO y SONZA a.k.a FRITZ and LORENZO CATALON y VALETE a.k.a JEFF.

Recovered pieces of evidence were as follows;
1. one (1) piece resealable stand-up pouch color gold;
2. Twelve (12) pieces Large bricks transparent cling wrapped containing suspected marijuana
3. Two (2) pieces transparent zip lock plastic sachets containing suspected marijuana
4. One (1) piece printed ECO BAG
5. One (1) piece bag pack color blue and green
6. One (1) piece genuine one thousand peso bill together with five (5) pieces of one thousand boodle money used as buy-bust money
7. One (1) piece five hundred peso bill together with five (5) pieces of one (1) hundred peso bills as other recovered money and
8. One (1) piece digital weighing scale

Informed of the Miranda Doctrine and Anti-Torture Law, suspects together with confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit, Hilltop, Taytay, Rizal for appropriate laboratory and drug test examinations and will be charged for Violation of Sec 5 and 11 Article II of RA 9165.
