Arestado ang 43 personalidad kahapon Abril 7, 2023 sa Anti-Illegal Gambling Operations ng Laguna PNP, sa pamumuno ni Police Colonel RANDY GLENN G SILVIO, Acting Provincial Director, Laguna PPO.
Ang kampanya ng Laguna PNP laban sa ilegal na pagsusugal ay maigting na iniimplementa ng kapulisan ng Laguna, sa tulong at suporta ng pamayanan lalong-lalo na ng Barangay Intelligence Network (BIN’s) sa ibat-ibang barangay sa lalawigan ng Laguna.
Nagsagawa ang Laguna PNP ng pito (7) na operasyon laban sa other forms of illegal gambling, isa (1) ay tong-its na nag resulta sa pagkaka-aresto ng 6 na suspek, habang tatlumpu’t pitong (37) suspek naman ay sangkot sa ilegal na sabong/tupada, kumpiskado sa mga suspek ang tinatayang halagang Php 29,730.00 na bet-money.
Ang mga naarestong suspek ay kasalukuyang nasa kustodiya ng kani-kanilang operating units at nahaharap sila sa kasong paglabag sa Philippine Presidential Decree No. 1602. (PD 1602).
Ayon sa pahayag ni PCOL SILVIO “Ang kampanya ng Laguna PNP laban sa mga ilegal na pagsusugal ay paiigtingin pa upang matigil ang mga ganitong gawain. Binabalaan ko po ang ating mga kababayan na iwasan ang mga ilegal na pagsusugal dahil hindi po titigil ang inyong mga kapulisan sa buong lalawigan sa mga operasyong patungkol dito.” #gtgmayani
