Arestado ang isang lalaki na may kasong Frustrated Murder sa isinagawang operasyon ng Balayan Municipal Police Station kasama ang Provincial Intelligence Unit Batangas, 4th Mobile Platoon 2nd Batangas Mobile Force Company, Provincial Intelligence Team Batangas, Regional Intelligence Unit 4A, and Batangas Maritime Police Station, Special Operations Unit 3 noong 3:45 ng hapon ng Setyembre 15, 2023 sa Barangay Sambat, Balayan, Batangas.
Kinilala ni Batangas Police Provincial Office Provincial Director Police Colonel Samson B Belmonte ang naarestong akusado bilang si Efren Alday y Tolentino, 74 taong gulang, may asawa, walang trabaho at residente ng nasabing lugar.
Ang akusado ay inaresto sa bisa ng warrant of arrest para sa kasong Frustrated Murder na inilabas ng Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region Branch 11, Balayan, Batangas na may petsang March 22, 2004 na may inirekomendang piyansa na ₱200,000.
Batay sa imbestigasyon, binaril ni Alday ang biktima noong May 4, 2022 bandang 8:00 ng gabi sa Barangay Sambat, Balayan, Batangas. Kasalukuyan namang nasa kustodiya ng Balayan MPS ang suspek.
