Twelve (12) municipalities from the 4th district of Laguna officially joined the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) in a solemn oath-taking ceremony held earlier today at Dinghao Restaurant, Calamba City.

Led by the President of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP), Mayor Egay Ramos of Pila, a cohort of incumbent mayors and officials from Siniloan, Famy, Mabitac, Pangil, Paete, Kalayaan, Lumban, Cavinti, Pagsanjan, Santa Cruz, and Majayjay participated in the ceremony.

The oath-taking was conducted by none other than the PFP National President, Governor Reynaldo “Jun” Tamayo of South Cotabato. Witnessing the event were prominent figures such as PFP Secretary-General MGen Thompson Lantion, PFP Regional Chairman Eros San Juan, Laguna Vice Governor Atty Karen Agapay, and former Congressman Benjie Agarao, representing the 4th district.

Adding to the significance of the occasion, former Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz of San Pedro City also took her oath as a member of the PFP.

Governor Tamayo, in his address, extended warm congratulations to the newly-inducted members and assured them of his commitment to support the national government’s plans and programs under President Bongbong Marcos. He emphasized the importance of cooperation from the provincial level down to the grassroots level, including municipalities and barangays, in realizing the PFP’s five core principles: One God, Humanism, Patriotic Federalism, Enlightened Socialism, and Direct Democracy.

The decision of these municipalities to align themselves with the PFP marks a significant shift in local politics, signaling support for the vision and agenda set forth by the party and the national leadership. With this move, the PFP strengthens its presence in Laguna, a province known for its active political landscape.

The inclusion of diverse municipalities from the 4th district underscores the broad appeal and reach of the PFP’s principles and platform. It also sets the stage for potential collaborations and partnerships that could bring about positive change and development at the grassroots level.

As the political landscape continues to evolve, the oath-taking ceremony serves as a reminder of the dynamic nature of Philippine politics, with parties and alliances adapting to new challenges and opportunities. The coming together of these municipalities under the banner of the PFP reflects a shared commitment to advancing the welfare and interests of their constituents, in line with the party’s core values and objectives.

Moving forward, all eyes will be on how these newly-inducted members will contribute to the PFP’s agenda and how their integration into the party will shape the political landscape of Laguna and beyond.
