In a coordinated effort between the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 1 and PDEA National Capital Region, two individuals were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation on April 6, 2024, at approximately 3:20 PM. The operation unfolded at an open parking lot of a fast-food restaurant situated in Barangay Malinao, Pasig City.
The apprehended suspects were identified as Kodus Imam, also known as Jimmy, aged 27, and Salic Arumpac, aged 36. Imam works as a tricycle driver, while Arumpac is employed as a construction worker and both are residents of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.
Law enforcement agents successfully seized around 100 grams of suspected shabu, valued at Php680,000.00, along with marked buy-bust money during the operation.
The suspects are set to face charges for violating Section 5 in relation to Section 26 (b) (Attempt or Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs) of Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The swift and decisive action of the authorities underscores their commitment to combatting the proliferation of illegal drugs within the community, ensuring the safety and welfare of its residents.
