In his recent visit to the Pinya Festival in Calauan, Laguna on May 12, 2024, Senator Bong Go not only amplified the call for health workers’ Health Emergency Assistance (HEA) but also commended the nearby dialysis center adjacent to the Super Health Center currently under construction.

Addressing the crowd, Sen. Go said, (“Kayo ang hero ng pandemia, yan ang narinig nyo sa aking hearing di ba? Parating ko yan, inaaway ko na nga yang DOH eh, kasi alam niyo, HINDI PO AKO TITIGIL NA IPAGLABAN KAYO, KASI SERVICES RENDERED NA YAN, PINAGPAWISAN NIYO NA YAN, PINAGPAGURAN NIYO NA YAN”)
“You are the heroes of this pandemic, as you’ve heard in my hearings, right? I will always be there for you. I’ve even clashed with the Department of Health because, you know, I WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING FOR YOU, BECAUSE THAT’S SERVICES RENDERED, THAT’S YOUR SWEAT, THAT’S YOUR HARD WORK.”

The Department of Health (DOH) is set to reconcile records in an upcoming hearing on May 20, aiming to determine the remaining payments owed to health workers. This move will pave the way for allocating funds either this year or the next to settle outstanding dues.

Sen. Go reiterated his call to the DOH and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to expedite the process and ensure that frontliners receive what is rightfully theirs without further delay.

Sen. Bong Go Commends Dialysis Center Adjacent to Super Health Center in Calauan, Laguna.
Amidst the festivities, Sen. Go extended his warmest greetings to both the participants of the Pinya Festival and all mothers celebrating Mother’s Day.

Sen. Go highlighted the significance of accessible healthcare facilities, praising the dialysis center’s presence alongside the forthcoming Super Health Center. He emphasized the importance of holistic healthcare services for the community, acknowledging the dialysis center’s role in providing crucial medical assistance to those in need.

In a bid to enhance healthcare accessibility and bolster medical services, Laguna province are building 13 super health centers across its Cities and Municipalities. This initiative is part of a broader nationwide effort to improve healthcare infrastructure, with over 600 similar centers slated to be constructed throughout the Philippines.

The super health centers will be strategically located in Calamba, Alaminos, Biñan, Cabuyao, Mabitac, San Pedro, Los Baños, Calauan, San Pablo, Santa Maria, Nagcarlan, Pila, and Santa Rosa. Each center is designed to provide comprehensive medical services, including primary care, diagnostics, and emergency treatment, catering to the diverse healthcare needs of local communities.

Officials believe that the establishment of these centers will not only address the immediate healthcare needs of residents but also contribute to long-term improvements in public health outcomes. By expanding healthcare infrastructure and promoting preventive care measures, the initiative aims to create a healthier and more resilient society.
