In the first quarter of 2024, the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) has reached a significant milestone in CALABARZON, with over 12.5 million individuals successfully registered. Alongside this achievement, more than 6.2 million PhilID cards have been distributed to registered residents in the region. This remarkable progress underscores the commitment of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region IV-A in implementing an efficient and accessible national identification system.

Regional Director Charito C. Armonia expressed her optimism, stating that this accomplishment marks a substantial step towards providing more efficient services to every Filipino. PhilSys aims to streamline access to both public and private services while bolstering the security and integrity of transactions. With this success, the PSA encourages all Filipinos to register and participate in the system, emphasizing its potential to enhance the country’s overall welfare.

The PhilSys implementation in CALABARZON showcases the effectiveness of the strategies employed by the PSA Region IV-A. Through meticulous planning and execution, millions of individuals have been onboarded into the system, paving the way for improved governance and service delivery. Director Armonia emphasized the importance of PhilSys in facilitating easier access to essential services and strengthening the nation’s security framework.

In line with the PSA’s advocacy for inclusivity, efforts are ongoing to ensure that every Filipino has the opportunity to register for PhilSys. Additional details regarding registration processes and schedules can be found on the official PhilSys website and social media platforms. As the enrollment numbers continue to climb, the momentum behind PhilSys underscores its pivotal role in advancing the Philippines towards a more efficient and secure future for all its citizens.
