Tinugis ng Social Security System (SSS) ang 106 delingkwenteng employers mula sa mga lalawigan ng Laguna, Cavite at Quezon sa ilalim ng Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) campaign dahil bigo ang mga ito na i-remit ang mahigit sa P6 milyong kontribusyon ng mga manggagawa nito.
Sinabi ni SSS Vice President for Luzon South 1 Division Edwin Igharas na nakatanggap ng Notice of Violation ang mga nasabing delingkwenteng employer mula sa tatlong probinsya ng CALABARZON dahil sa hindi nila pagre-report ng kanilang mga empleyado sa SSS at hindi pagre-remit ng kontribusyon ng mga ito.
Ipinaliwanag ni Igharas na tinatayang 654 manggagawa ang apektado ng ginawang paglabag ng mga nasabing employers kaya naman pursigido ang SSS na habulin ang mga delingkwenteng employer para sa kapakinabangan ng mga empleyado nito.
“Ang naitalang kontribusyon o posted contribution ay ang isa sa mga ginagamit na batayan sa pagibigay ng benepisyo at pautang sa mga miyembro. Kung hindi inihuhulog ng mga employer ang kontribusyon ng kanilang mga empleyado, maaaring hindi makatanggap ang mga empleyado nito ng mga benepisyong nararapat para sa kanila,” dagdag pa ni Igharas.
Bukod pa rito, sinabi ni Igharas na maaaring makasuhan ng kasong criminal ang mga employer dahil sa paglabag sa Republic Act No. 11199 o ang Social Security Act of 2018 kung saan maaari silang mahatulan na pagkakulong ng anim na taon at isang araw hanggang 12 taon at pagmultahin ng P5,000 hanggang P20,000.
“Pinapaalalahanan din namin ang lahat ng mga empleyado sa pribadong sektor na ugaliing i-check palagi ang kanilang contribution records gamit ang My.SSS Portal para makasiguro sila na inire-remit sa SSS ng kanilang mga employer ang kanilang mga kontribusyon sa SSS,” sabi ni Igharas.
Payo pa niya sa mga manggagawa na huwag matakot o mag-atubiling magfile ng pormal na reklamo sa SSS kung mapansin nila na hindi naihuhulog sa SSS ang kanilang kontribusyon at walang ginawang aksyon ang kanilang employer ukol dito.
