Camp BGen Vicente P Lim, July 18, 2024 – Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, the Chief of the Philippine National Police, addressed the dedicated men and women of the Police Regional Office (PRO) CALABARZON during his Command Visit today.

The visit centered around the commendable “Serbisyong BAYANIHAN Caravan para sa Kapulisan at Kapamilya ng PRO 4A,” an initiative anchored in General Marbil’s “Damayang may Malasakit sa Kapulisan” program. This program aims to boost the morale and welfare of PNP personnel and their dependents.

General Marbil expressed his appreciation for the entire management of PRO CALABARZON, led by hardworking Regional Director PBGEN Paul Kenneth T Lucas. Under their leadership, various government services and assistance have been extended to PNP personnel and their families. These essential services include health cards, free wheelchairs, and legal assistance. General Marbil emphasized that safety remains the top priority for the PNP.

The BAYANIHAN Caravan, which received funding of nearly 1 million pesos, benefited over 1,000 participants. Attendees availed themselves of a wide range of government services, including processing License To Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF), scholarship claims, National Police Clearance, medical and dental services, sports clinics, legal consultations, First Communion ceremonies, driver’s license renewal and applications, livelihood trainings, and services from the Philippine Statistics Authority. Additionally, an entertainment program was organized for PRO 4A dependents, and food and non-food items were distributed. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) also provided scholarships.

General Marbil concluded, “Charity begins at home. We must provide the best support to our personnel so they can perform their duties effectively.”

PBGEN Paul Kenneth T Lucas, Director for CALABARZON police, expressed gratitude to the participating agencies that made the BAYANIHAN Caravan a success. These agencies include the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Anti-Narcotics International Assistance Group, Japan Tobacco International Philippines, San Miguel Corporation, Bounty Agro Ventures Inc (Chooks to Go), and the Rotary Club of Camp Crame. The Regional Advisory Group for Police Transformation Development 4A also played a crucial role in supporting this community-focused initiative.
