Drug Enforcement Officers of PDEA Regional Office IV-A Special Enforcement Team 2, PDEA National Capital Region Special Enforcement Team 1 and Quezon City Police District-Police Station 7 confiscated more or less 58 kilograms of suspected marijuana worth Php6,969,000.00 during a buy-bust operation in front of a gasoline station in Barangay E. Rodriguez, Cubao, Quezon City.
At about 10:30 in the evening, operatives arrested suspect Brenjie Oberez alias Mula Namunamu, 41, single, working as a van rental driver and resident of Saint Mary St., Barangay E. Rodriguez, same city.
Oberez will be facing a criminal charge for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) Article II of the Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
