Lapid and Endo discuss the Japanese government’s support for the Philippines in the field of defense cooperation, economic development, and even in the field of sports.
The ambassador thanked Lapid for hosting Japan’s big-ticket projects such as roads and railways, infrastructure projects, and flood control systems, among others.
He said the Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo trained in Japan and the ambassador extended his congratulations to the Paris Olympic double gold medalist.
The ambassador also invited Lapid to visit Japan.
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Tourism, Lapid, in return, asked Endo and the Japanese people to visit the country, especially its beautiful tourist spots.
