Rizal PNP Nabs 2 Regional Level Most Wanted in Separate Manhunt Operations

August 20, 2024 – The Rizal Provincial Police Office (PPO) marked a significant achievement on August 19, 2024, with the successful arrest of two individuals on the Regional Level Most Wanted Persons list. The two suspects were apprehended in separate manhunt operations conducted by different municipal police stations within the province.

The first suspect, known as “Alyas DJ,” a 27-year-old resident of Brgy. San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal, was arrested at approximately 3:00 PM by the Warrant Team of the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station. A warrant of arrest was issued by the Regional Trial Court in San Mateo, Rizal, against him for the crime of rape. The court did not recommend bail, reflecting the severity of the charges.

Shortly after, at 4:12 PM, another suspect, “Alyas Justine,” a 19-year-old resident of Brgy. San Roque, Antipolo City, was apprehended by operatives from the Antipolo Component City Police Station. He was also subject to a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court in Antipolo, facing four counts of statutory rape, with no bail recommended.

Both suspects are currently under the custody of their respective local police stations, awaiting further legal proceedings.

Police Colonel Felipe B. Maraggun, the Provincial Director of Rizal PPO, lauded the successful operations. He emphasized that these arrests are a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Rizal PNP to uphold the law and ensure the safety of the community.

The Rizal PNP encourages the public to remain vigilant and report any information that could aid in the apprehension of wanted persons. The police remain committed to their mission of making Rizal a peaceful and crime-free province.
