In a dramatic turn of events, Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, the leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), is facing mounting legal troubles both in the Philippines and abroad. The Philippine National Police (PNP) recently conducted a raid on the KOJC compound in Davao City as they attempted to serve multiple arrest warrants against Quiboloy. The charges include child abuse, sexual exploitation, and human trafficking, with some of these charges being non-bailable.

The raid, which is the second one to take place, has been met with strong opposition from Quiboloy’s supporters and political allies, including former President Rodrigo Duterte and Vice President Sara Duterte. The Dutertes have condemned the police action, accusing the authorities of using excessive force and violating constitutionally protected rights.

In response, Quiboloy’s followers have organized rallies outside the KOJC compound, protesting against the police presence and decrying what they perceive as an unjust attack on their leader. The situation escalated when a KOJC member died of a heart attack during the raid, further inflaming tensions.

The controversies surrounding Quiboloy extend beyond the Philippines, as he is also facing serious charges in the United States, including sex trafficking of children, conspiracy, and bulk cash smuggling.
