The Rizal Village Housing Project in Barangay Kay-Anlog, Calamba City, Laguna officially broke ground today, marking a significant milestone in the city’s efforts to provide affordable and quality housing for its residents. The project will see the construction of 157 housing units designed to cater to the needs of Calambeños.

Local government officials highlighted the importance of the initiative, emphasizing that providing decent and accessible housing is a key priority for the city administration. The Rizal Village Housing Project is part of a broader mission to ensure that every resident of Calamba has access to safe, comfortable, and secure living conditions.

During the ceremony, City Councilor Jojo Catindig, Chairman of the Committee on Socialized Housing and Urban Poor, expressed his commitment to the project, noting that he has been working closely with the Housing Settlement Departments to ensure the successful implementation of the program. The collaboration between the various government offices will be crucial in delivering the project on time and within budget.

“Today’s groundbreaking is a testament to our serious commitment to improving the lives of our fellow Calambeños,” said Councilor Catindig. “We are dedicated to ensuring that all residents, especially those in need, can live in homes that meet the highest standards of quality and safety.”

The project is spearheaded by Calamba City Mayor Ross Rizal, in collaboration with the Sangguniang Panlungsod. Mayor Rizal has been a vocal advocate for socialized housing programs, recognizing the growing need for affordable housing solutions in the city, especially for low-income families.

The Rizal Village Housing Project is seen as a major step forward in addressing the housing shortage in Calamba. It is expected to significantly contribute to the city’s efforts to provide a more sustainable and inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity.

As construction begins, the local government assures the public that they will closely monitor the project’s progress, ensuring that the housing units are completed in a timely and successful manner.
