Godfather ng POGO sa Pilipinas, 18 Iba Pa, Arestado sa Laguna

LAGUNA — Nahuli ng mga tauhan ng Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) at Bureau of Immigration (BI) sa isang operasyon sa Biñan City, Laguna noong Huwebes ang itinuturong “godfather” ng Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) sa bansa.

Ayon kay PAOCC Chief Usec. Gilbert Cruz, kinilala ang naarestong lider na si Lyu Dong, na gumagamit ng mga alyas na “Hao Hao” at “Boss of the Boss.”

Ang operasyon, na isinagawa bandang alas-8:00 ng gabi sa Las Villas De Manila Subdivision, Arsobispo Street, Southwoods, Biñan City, ay bunga ng isang mission order na inisyu ng BI. Kasama rin sa mga naaresto ang 12 foreign nationals na sinasabing mga “boss” ng POGO, pati na rin ang anim na Pilipinong bodyguard.

Ayon sa mga ulat, ang mga suspek ay sangkot sa POGO operations sa Porac, Pampanga at iba’t ibang “scam farms” sa Pilipinas. Ilang kumpanya sa Ilocos Sur, gaya ng Lucky South 99, at mga illegal POGO operations sa CALABARZON at Central Luzon, tulad ng Hongsheng/Zun Yuan, ay konektado sa kanila.

Nakumpiska ng mga awtoridad ang iba’t-ibang IDs, sangkaterbang cellphones, computers, malaking halaga ng pera, at tatlong hindi lisensyadong baril.

Ang mga naaresto ay dinala na sa PAOCC headquarters sa Pasay City para sa karagdagang imbestigasyon, habang inihahanda ang mga kasong isasampa laban sa kanila.
