Mayor Ross Rizal Distributes BQRT Allowance, Uniform, and Medical Supplies for 3rd Quarter 2024

Calamba City, Laguna — Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal led the distribution of allowances, uniforms, and medical supplies to the Barangay Quick Response Teams (BQRT) in the 3rd quarter of 2024. In a message filled with gratitude and appreciation, Mayor Rizal highlighted the essential role the BQRT plays in maintaining the safety of Calamba’s communities, contributing to the city’s recognition as a “Safe Haven Model City” nationwide.

“Isang malaking pasasalamat po natin sa ating mga Barangay Quick Response Team sa inyong walang sawang dedikasyon sa pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan ng ating mga barangay sa Lungsod ng Calamba,” Mayor Rizal expressed, referring to the BQRT as “Dugong Bayani” for their tireless service.

Mayor Rizal also announced a forthcoming increase in allowances for the BQRT, raising the quarterly stipend from Php 4,500 to Php 6,000 as part of his administration’s commitment to reforms that directly benefit the people of Calamba. “Lahat ng ito ay bahagi ng patuloy na mga reporma na nararamdaman ng bawat Calambeño,” he added.

The distribution event included the handover of new uniforms and essential medical supplies, equipping the BQRT with the necessary tools to continue their vital work in emergency response, disaster preparedness, and community safety.

The mayor concluded his speech by reaffirming the city’s dedication to the well-being and safety of its citizens, ensuring that the BQRT has the support they need to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
