At the Pilot Launch of “The Cookie Promise,” Vice Governor Atty. Karen Agapay emphasized the importance of empowering young girls through entrepreneurship and leadership development. The event, held at the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) Laguna Council HQ at Camp Maria Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna brought together scouts, mentors, and supporters, showcasing the transformative goals of the new initiative.

Vice Governor Agapay praised the Cookie Promise program as “a wonderful opportunity for young girls to cultivate skills that extend beyond the classroom.” She highlighted the program’s potential to instill confidence and entrepreneurial spirit among the scouts, encouraging them to “dream big and work towards making those dreams a reality.” She also commended the program’s mission of shaping young leaders who can contribute meaningfully to society.

The launch was graced by GSP National President Dr. Cristina Lim-Yuson and representatives from Lemon Square, the makers of the cookies. The Cookie Promise offers thin, crispy, light butter cookies aimed at supporting the Girl Scouts’ programs and initiatives.

In her closing remarks, Vice Governor Agapay urged the public to support the Girl Scouts’ programs by purchasing the cookies, thereby contributing to a cause that empowers future leaders and entrepreneurs.
