Member of Communist Terrorist Group Arrested in Northern Samar

Northern Samar – On October 28, 2024, personnel from 122SAC, 12th Special Action Battalion of SAF provided tactical support to the elements of 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company Northern Samar PPO, as lead unit and other PNP units, during the successful arrest of alias Joan in a counterinsurgency operation conducted in Palapag, Northern Samar.

The suspect is a non-PSR listed CTG member under Front Committee-15, Sub-Regional Committee Arctic, Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee. She was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest No. 5182, dated February 17, 2020, for Kidnapping and Serious Illegal Detention, issued by Regional Trial Court, Branch 21, 8th Judicial Region, Laoang, Northern Samar.

Palapag Municipal Police Station took custody of the arrested suspect for documentation and proper disposition.

The successful operation highlights the continued collaboration between law enforcement units in their ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
