CALAMBA CITY – During the official opening of the lighting of the giant Christmas tree at The Plaza, Calamba City, Laguna, Vice Mayor Totie Lazaro shared a heartfelt Christmas message, emphasizing the true essence of the holiday season beyond material wealth and festivities.

“Ang pagdiriwang ng Kapaskuhan ay hindi nasusukat sa marangyang pagkaing nakahain sa hapag o sa magarang kasuotan—ang makasama ang pamilya, makapagdasal ng sama-sama, at magpasalamat sa Diyos sa biyaya ng buhay ay malaking regalo na pwede nating makuha ngayong Pasko,” Vice Mayor Lazaro said.

He also highlighted the values of hope, compassion, and love that the Sangguniang Panlungsod carries as they serve the people of Calamba.

“This Christmas, we will surely share the love to our fellow kababayans by spreading kindness and respect, positivity, and a heart full of gratitude and compassion for one another,” he added.

In his message, the Vice Mayor extended warm wishes to all Calambeños, encouraging unity and a deeper connection to the spirit of giving and thanksgiving.

“Sa ngalan po ng Sangguniang Panlungsod ng Calamba, isang Very Masayang Pasko at Very Masaganang 2025, minamahal kong Calambeños!”

The message resonated with the city’s ongoing commitment to fostering a community filled with hope and mutual care as the year draws to a close.
