Defeated Candidate Continues to Serve: Sol Aragones Provides Free Maintenance Medicines in Laguna

CABUYAO, LAGUNA — Despite her loss in the 2022 gubernatorial race, former Congresswoman Sol Aragones remains steadfast in her commitment to serve the people of Laguna. Recently, she launched the “AKAY ni SOL” program in Cabuyao, aimed at providing free maintenance medicines to those in need.

The program distributed over a month’s supply of essential medicines such as Amlodipine, Metformin, Losartan, and Rosuvastatin to hundreds of residents suffering from heart conditions, diabetes, and hypertension.

This initiative is part of the efforts of 141 AKAY ni SOL Partylist, in collaboration with Sol Aragones, Vice Governor Peewee Perez, and Board Member Christian Aguillo. Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the program, which has significantly eased their health and financial burdens.

“This is a huge help for us senior citizens who rely on maintenance medicines every day. Thank you, Gob Sol, and to everyone involved in this project!” said Ernesto, one of the recipients of the free medicines.

Known for her advocacy for #GobyernongMaySolusyon (A Government with Solutions), Sol Aragones prioritizes heartfelt public service, even without holding an official position. The “AKAY ni SOL” program demonstrates that genuine care for the community transcends electoral victories.
