Laguna became the latest stop for Senator Lito Lapid’s ongoing nationwide gift-giving initiative. On December 18, the senator began his visit in Barangay Canlalay, Biñan City and Barangay San Antonio, San Pedro City, Laguna, where he distributed Christmas gifts to local residents, spreading holiday cheer and hope.
During the event, Senator Lapid shared a personal connection to Laguna, particularly San Pedro. He fondly recalled filming a scene for the true-to-life movie about Jess Lapid in San Pedro, where he performed a daring leap. “Hindi ko makakalimutan ang San Pedro, Laguna, dahil dito ako tumalon sa tren noon sa isang pelikula,” the senator said, drawing smiles from attendees.
The residents of Brgy. Canlalay and San Antonio warmly welcomed the senator, expressing gratitude for his generosity and continued support. Senator Lapid emphasized his commitment to bringing joy and assistance to Filipinos, especially during the Christmas season, as part of his broader advocacy for community engagement and support.
