Authorities successfully seized a total of P6.8 million worth of shabu in separate anti-drug operations conducted on January 26 and 27, leading to the arrest of three high-value drug personalities.

In Quezon City, operatives from PDEA Regional Office IV-A, PDEA RO-NCR, and the PNP Quezon City Police District Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation in front of a TV network in Barangay San Bartolome, Novaliches at 10:25 AM on January 26. The suspect, identified as alias Jahid, 30 years old, married, and a resident of Barangay 190, Pasay City, was caught with approximately 500 grams of shabu valued at P3.4 million. He will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Transportation of Dangerous Drugs) under RA 9165.

Meanwhile, in Pasay City, another buy-bust operation was conducted on January 27 at 3:25 PM in a mall parking lot in Barangay 79. Joint operatives from PDEA Regional Office IV-A, PDEA RO-NCR Southern District Office, and Pasay City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit arrested two drug suspects, both residents of Barangay Maharlika, Taguig City. Authorities confiscated another 500 grams of shabu, also valued at P3.4 million. The suspects will face charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) under RA 9165.

All three arrested suspects are currently detained at the PDEA Regional Office IV-A facility in Barangay Sinalhan, Santa Rosa City, Laguna, as they await formal charges and further investigation.

These successful operations underscore the government’s intensified crackdown on illegal drugs, targeting high-value personalities involved in the illicit trade.
