Vice Gov. Karen Agapay Supports Health and Aid Initiatives in San Pedro City

San Pedro City – Vice Governor Atty. Karen Agapay highlighted two key initiatives benefiting San Pedro City residents: a health awareness campaign on prostate cancer, family planning, and a healthy lifestyle, as well as an assistance program for individuals in crisis situations.

The San Pedro Sto. Sepulchro 101 Lions Club spearheaded the health awareness project, emphasizing the importance of disease prevention and family planning. “Prevention is still better than cure. Iba ang may alam. Para healthy ang buong pamilya,” Agapay shared, stressing that both fathers and mothers benefit from proper health and family planning education.

Meanwhile, the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) Pre-Payout provided much-needed financial relief to residents in need. Vice Gov. Agapay expressed gratitude to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the national government, particularly recognizing the support facilitated through Congresswoman Ann Matibag’s office.

These initiatives reflect the ongoing efforts of local leaders to improve public health and provide social assistance to Laguna residents.
