P340K Worth of Suspected Shabu Seized, High-Value Individual Arrested in Laguna Buy-Bust Operation

San Pablo City, Laguna – A high-value individual (HVI) was arrested, and suspected shabu worth P340,000 was seized in a joint buy-bust operation conducted by the Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and San Pablo Police on March 31, 2025.

Laguna Police Provincial Director PCOL Ricardo I. Dalmacia identified the suspect as alias “Arnold,” a resident of San Pablo City, Laguna.

According to PMAJ Jose Pacifico C. Gonzales, Chief of the PDEU, the operation took place at around 7:35 PM in Barangay San Gabriel, where the suspect was caught selling suspected shabu to an undercover police officer in exchange for marked money.

Authorities confiscated one small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet and one medium-sized plastic sachet containing suspected shabu. The total weight of the seized drugs was approximately 50 grams, with an estimated street value of P340,000.

In addition to the illegal substances, law enforcement officers recovered a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money and two P100 bills suspected to be proceeds from drug transactions.

The suspect is currently being held at the San Pablo City Police Station while authorities prepare charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

“This operation is part of the intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign of the Philippine National Police (PNP) as the 2025 elections approach. The Laguna PNP remains committed to protecting our youth from the harmful effects of illegal drugs,” PD Dalmacia stated.
