Caloocan City — Arestado ang isang motorcycle rider matapos lumabag sa Republic Act 10054 (Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009) at mahulihan ng hinihinalang shabu sa isinagawang checkpoint operation ng District Field Monitoring Bureau – Northern Police District (DFMB-NPD) katuwang ang Tala Police Substation 14 ng Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS), noong Biyernes, Mayo 16, 2025 bandang 10:00 ng gabi sa Quirino Highway, Barangay 185, Caloocan City.

Ayon sa ulat, nagsagawa ng checkpoint operation kaugnay ng Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (SACLEO) ang mga tauhan ng DFMB-NPD sa pangunguna ni PMAJ Rolando Balistoy, kasama ang Tala Police Substation 14 na pinamumunuan ni PLT Addnan Ali.

Habang nagsasagawa ng operasyon, isang motorcycle rider ang kanilang pinahinto para sa beripikasyon ng mga dokumento. Habang iniisyuhan ng Traffic Violation Receipt (TVR), inutusan ang rider na ipakita ang kanyang driver’s license. Ngunit sa pagbubukas ng kanyang pitaka, tumambad ang isang plastic sachet na naglalaman ng puting butil na pinaniniwalaang shabu.

Kinilala ang suspek na si Alyas Marlon, nakumpiska mula sa kanya ang Isang unit ng Yamaha Aerox na kulay grey na may plakang 440QWE, Isang plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na may timbang na 0.7 gramo at tinatayang may street value na Php 5,400.00.

Nahaharap si Lumot sa mga kasong paglabag sa RA 10054 (Motorcycle Helmet Act of 2009) at Section 11 ng RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

Mariing itinanggi ng suspek na siya ay nagbebenta ng ilegal na droga.

Sa ngayon, nasa kustodiya na siya ng Tala Police Substation 14 para sa kaukulang imbestigasyon at karagdagang proseso.
