Calamba City, Laguna — As part of the vibrant Buhayani Festival, Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal spearheaded the official launch of “Kusinang Calambeño: Lasa ng Kultura, Sarap ng Tradisyon!” held at the Dr. Jose Rizal Coliseum.

This flavorful event pays tribute to Calamba’s rich culinary heritage, highlighting signature local dishes rooted in tradition, family, and culture. Mayor Rizal emphasized that Kusinang Calambeño is more than just a food showcase — it’s a heartfelt celebration of the legacy passed down by grandmothers, mothers, and community cooks who continue to preserve the essence of Calambeño cuisine.

“This is not just a celebration of taste, but an honoring of our grandmothers, mothers, and local cooks who keep our culinary traditions alive. With every bite, we taste care, unity, and the true spirit of being Calambeño,” said Mayor Rizal.

The initiative aims to promote cultural appreciation and local pride, uniting the community through flavors that tell stories — from generation to generation.
