Mayor Ross Rizal Leads Tireless Relief Efforts Amid Storm Emong’s Onslaught in Calamba

Calamba City, Laguna — As Severe Tropical Storm Emong continues to lash Calamba with relentless rain and flooding, Mayor Ross Rizal remains at the forefront of relief and response operations—personally ensuring that affected residents are cared for in this time of need.

For nearly a week now, Mayor Rizal has been on the ground, actively monitoring affected areas, distributing relief goods, and delivering hot meals to families displaced by the storm. For today July 24, 2025, his efforts span across several barangays including Parian, Saimsim, Pansol, Brgy. Dos, Sais, Uwisan, Looc, Bañadero, and others.

“We will not leave our people behind in the midst of this storm,” the mayor stated during one of his visits to local evacuation centers, where he personally checked on evacuees and handed out aid.

In an inspiring display of community partnership, Jollibee Calamba donated 1,000 Yumburgers to support the city’s relief drive. The burgers, paired with hot lugaw, were distributed especially to children and elders in evacuation sites, bringing warmth and comfort amid the cold, stormy weather.

“Thank you so much, Jollibee Calamba,” Mayor Rizal said. “Your generosity brings smiles and hope to our fellow Calambeños during these difficult times.”

Through it all, Mayor Rizal continues to rally the spirit of bayanihan—proving that in Calamba, leadership means service that never stops, rain or shine.
