2 Gun-for-Hire Members Patay sa Shootout sa Quezon Police

CALAUAG, QUEZON – Patay ang dalawang hinihinalang miyembro ng gun-for-hire group matapos makipagbarilan sa mga operatiba ng Quezon Police Provincial Office Intelligence Unit (QPIU), 2nd Quezon PMFC, at Calauag PNP sa Maharlika Highway, Brgy. Sumilang, Calauag nitong Huwebes ng hapon, Agosto 21.

Kinilala ni Quezon Police Director PCOL Romulo A. Albacea ang mga nasawi na sina Kenneth De Guzman Buñales at isang alyas June, 42-anyos, kapwa residente ng Sitio Centro, Brgy. San Andres, Candelaria.

Batay sa ulat ng Calauag PNP, dakong alas-3:10 ng hapon nagsagawa ng buy-bust operation kaugnay ng RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) sa isang gasolinahan sa Brgy. Sta. Maria. Kapwa armado ang mga suspek at agad na nakatunog na mga pulis ang kanilang katransaksyon kaya mabilis silang tumakas sakay ng isang Mitsubishi Adventure SUV patungo sa Tagkawayan.

Kaagad na nakipag-ugnayan ang QPIU kay Calauag PNP Chief PMAJ Elena Lumaban, dahilan upang magsagawa ng checkpoint sa Brgy. Sumilang. Gayunman, imbes na huminto, pinaputukan ng mga suspek ang mga pulis kaya napilitang gumanti ang mga awtoridad.

Nagpatuloy ang habulan at barilan hanggang Brgy. Sta. Milagrosa kung saan tuluyang napatay ang dalawang suspek.

Ayon kay PCOL Albacea, sina Buñales at alyas June ay itinuturing na mga notoryus na suspek na sangkot sa serye ng pamamaril at may kaugnayan sa hindi bababa sa pitong kaso ng pagpatay sa mga bayan ng Sariaya, Candelaria, Tiaong, at Lucena City.

Dagdag pa niya, pawang miyembro ang mga ito ng isang organized crime group na gumagawa ng mga krimen sa Quezon. Nagbabala rin si Albacea sa iba pang kasamahan ng grupo na itigil na ang kanilang iligal na gawain at sumuko bago pa maabutan ng batas.
