CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The Calamba Component City Police Station (CCPS) has reported major accomplishments in its intensified campaign against criminality for the month of October, leading to the arrest of 123 individuals and the seizure or recovery of 19 firearms and grenades.

The month-long operations targeted wanted persons, illegal drugs, illegal gambling, and loose firearms, underscoring the station’s sustained efforts to ensure peace and order in Calamba City.

PLTCOL Dennis C. De Guzman, Officer-in-Charge of Calamba CCPS, lauded the dedication and teamwork of his personnel, emphasizing that their commitment has been crucial to maintaining the city’s safety.

“In behalf of the men and women of the Calamba City Police Station, I am proud to report the strong performance of our personnel. Their hard work and coordination have been vital to our continued success,” De Guzman said.



One of the highlights of the report is the continued success of “Oplan Galugad”, a joint initiative between the Calamba City Police Station and the Calamba City Local Government Unit (LGU). The program remains a sustainable, community-based model for grassroots crime prevention.

The station also achieved a significant milestone in solving index crimes, with cases dropping from 27 in late September to only 4 by the end of October — the lowest figure recorded so far.

“We are all systems go in our crime prevention and solution initiatives toward a safer and more secure Calamba City,” De Guzman added.



The Calamba CCPS reaffirmed its commitment to intensify anti-criminality operations and strengthen community partnerships in the coming months, as it continues to strive toward its goal of making the Calamba Police the finest in Laguna.
