Taguig City, Philippines — AHT Cooling Systems and Cold Front Technologies Asia, Inc. proudly welcomed guests to the Asia-Pacific Workshop: Driving Sustainable and Efficient Cooling in the Philippines, held at SEDA BGC. The event brought together key stakeholders from the Philippine retail and commercial sectors to explore the future of refrigeration technology and its vital role in advancing sustainability.

The workshop spotlighted cutting-edge refrigeration solutions tailored to the unique needs of the Philippine market, showcasing breakthrough innovations designed to: Boost energy efficiency; Reduce consumption; and Elevate operational performance

𝗔𝗛𝗧’𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀:

• Reintroducing AHT’s Product Portfolio to refresh market awareness and highlight innovations beyond standard plug-in units
• Educating End Users on SPI System Value, emphasizing its benefits in energy savings, sustainability, and operational efficiency
• Strengthening Market Alignment by fostering collaboration among end users, AHT and Cold Front

During the workshop, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗥𝘆𝘂𝘁𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝘄𝗮, 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗛𝗧 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲, presented the AHT company profile and strategic direction. He emphasized the importance of high-end optimization, stating, “We believe this has the potential to transform end-user operations by delivering real value through reduced environmental impact and operational cost savings. More than anything, this workshop is about courage—about strengthening our alignment and moving forward together.”

Meanwhile, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗼 𝗚𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘇 𝗟𝗮’𝗢, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗘𝗢 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. shared Cold Front’s mission, vision, and approach to design, installation, and service. “From the beginning, we’ve embraced technology not just to differentiate ourselves, but to showcase what’s truly possible,” he said. “While environmental friendliness is important, we also recognize the realities of tight budgets and business requirements. That’s why the technology we embrace must deliver both sustainability and measurable value—through energy savings, reduced maintenance costs, and long-term efficiency.”

Mr. Gonzalez La’O also presented the UNIDO recommendation report for the Philippine commercial food retail sector, highlighting Royal Duty Free Supermarket as a benchmark for energy efficiency. Their R290 water loop refrigeration system consumes an average of 741.35 kWh/day, representing an 18.5% reduction compared to the previous R404a plug-in equipment, which averaged 909.49 kWh/day. The store also achieved an estimated electrical energy intensity of 216 kWh per square meter of sales area per year.

Attendees experienced a live demo of four AHT units and gained valuable insights from industry leaders: Mr. Ryuta Honzawa and Mr. Jeffrey Laguitao- AHT Singapore; Mr. Emilio Gonzalez La’O – Cold Front; and Mr. Alvin Yeo – Guntner Singapore.

To cap off the event, lucky guests won gift vouchers, Bluetooth speakers, power banks, and noise-cancelling headsets in a special raffle.

The workshop was a resounding success, reinforcing the shared vision of AHT and Cold Front to shape the future of cooling—where sustainability meets innovation.
