Calamba City, Laguna — Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal led a swift and compassionate relief operation for 512 families in Barangay Looc, many of whom remain inundated by floodwaters despite not staying in evacuation centers.

“Nagsagawa tayo ng relief operations para sa mga kababayan nating hindi man nasa evacuation center, ngunit lubog pa rin sa baha at patuloy na humaharap sa hirap ng sitwasyon,” Mayor Ross Rizal said, emphasizing the city’s commitment to reach all affected residents.

As early as 7:00 AM on Saturday, the Mayor personally visited Brgy. Looc to distribute relief packs and check on the condition of affected households. He reaffirmed the city government’s dedication to stand by residents during calamities:
“Hindi man madali ang pinagdaanan nila, patuloy tayong magiging kaagapay sa pagbibigay ng suporta—hangga’t may nangangailangan, andiyan ang lokal na pamahalaan upang umalalay.”

Mayor Ross Rizal also expressed gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for their continued support in augmenting the city’s relief efforts.

The Calamba City government assures that assistance will continue as communities recover from the lingering effects of flooding, strengthening the city’s commitment to protect and uplift every Calambeño in times of need.
