Calamba City Lights Up the Season with Grand Christmas Tree Illumination

Calamba City, Laguna welcomed the first night of December with dazzling brilliance as the simultaneous lighting of its Giant Christmas Trees took place at The Plaza in front of Calamba City Hall, led by Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal.

The event, themed “Sama-samang Pag-iilaw, Sama-samang Pag-asa,” drew families, local officials, and residents who gathered to witness one of the city’s most awaited holiday traditions.

As the countdown began, Mayor Ross Rizal delivered a heartfelt message highlighting unity and renewed hope for the Calambeños.

“Tonight, our city shines once again as we light up the Giant Christmas Trees—symbols of hope, unity, and our unwavering service to the people,” the Mayor said.

(“Ngayong gabi, muling nagningning ang ating lungsod sa pag-iilaw ng mga Giant Christmas Tree—mga simbolo ng pag-asa, pagkakaisa, at walang sawang paglilingkod sa ating mga kababayan.”)

He added that every light glowing across the city serves as a reminder of resilience and community spirit.

“As each bulb flickers to life, it reminds us that despite the challenges, we continue to rise and celebrate as a loving, helping community.”

The ceremony culminated in a festive burst of colors as the massive Christmas tree illuminated the night sky, signaling the beginning of a joyful and meaningful holiday season in Calamba.
