Nasamsam ang one hundred eighty-eight thousand (PhP 188,000.00) suspected shabu sa drug buy-bust operation ng kapulisan ng Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station (MPS) noong ika-13 ng Agosto.
Kinilala ni Laguna Police Provincial Office-in-Charge POLICE COLONEL HAROLD P DEPOSITAR ang suspek na si alyas Edward, walang trabaho at residente ng Sta Cruz, Laguna.
Ayon sa ulat ni POLICE MAJOR LAURENCE C ABOAC, hepe ng Sta Cruz MPS, naaresto ang suspek matapos itong magbenta ng isang (1) sachet ng suspected shabu sa pulis na umaktong poseur buyer kapalit ang limandaang piso (PhP500.00) sa isinagawang drug buy-bust operation sa ganap na 2:30 ng hapon sa Sitio Huwaran, Brgy. Pagsawitan, Santa Cruz, Laguna.
Sa preventive search, nakumpiska sa suspek ang eighteen (18) sachets ng hinihinalang shabu na may tinatayang timbang na 27. 66 grams at halaga na humigit kumulang one hundred eighty-eight thousand pesos (PhP188, 000.00) at isang pouch. Narekober din sa suspek ang limandaang piso (PhP500.00) na buy-bust money.
Ang naarestong suspek ay nasa kustodiya ng Sta Cruz MPS at dadalhin kasama ang mga nakumpiskang ebidensiya sa Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) sa Sta. Cruz, Laguna para sa pagsusuri habang ang kaso sa paglabag sa Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165) ihinahanda at isinasangguni sa Prosecutor’s Office. Ang suspek ay nakalista sa drug watchlist ng PNP.
Sa pahayag ni PCol. Depositar, “Pinaparangalan ko ang kapulisan ng Sta Cruz MPS sa operasyon na ito. This shall serve as stern warning to those who are planning to find easy money in illegal drug business.” #gtgilao
