Sa bayan naman ng Catanuaun, isang kalibre .45 pistol na may isang magasin na may lamang bala, isang rifle grenade at explosives materials ay boluntaryong isinuko sa pinagaanib na pwersa ng 2nd QPMFC at 85th Infantry Bn ng isang dating myembro NPA.
Ayon kay Police Colonel Ledon D Monte, Provincial Director ng Quezon PPO, ang mga narekober na armas at gamit pandigma ay pag-aari ng teroristang grupo na STRPC o Southern Tagalog Regional Party Committee.
βAng pangyayaring ito ay bunga ng masidhi nating kampanya na mapanatili ang Lalawigan ng Quezon na malaya sa impluwensya at presensya ng mga terorista. Kung kaya hinihikayat natin na kung mayroon pang mga natitirang kaanib ng makakaliwang grupo ay sumuko na at tanggapin ang programa ng gobyerno at manirahan sa isang mapayapang pamayanan ,β dagdag pa ng Probinsyal Direktor.
