Nagpahayag ng mariing babala si Senador Imee Marcos laban sa mga mambabatas sa Kongreso na tila pursigido sa pagsampa ng impeachment case laban kay Pangalawang Pangulo Sara Duterte. Ayon kay Marcos, ang ganitong hakbang ay isang pagsubok sa demokrasya at kabastusan sa mandato ng bayan.

Tinukoy ng senadora na ang pagkapanalo ni Duterte, na may 32 milyong boto—ang pinakamalaking tala sa kasaysayan—ay malinaw na mensahe ng tiwala ng publiko. Binigyang-diin niya na sa halip na magsulong ng pagkakawatak-watak, mas makabubuti na tugunan ang mga kasalukuyang suliranin ng bansa.
