CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — Two alleged drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by personnel of the Calamba City Police Station (CCPS) on Tuesday afternoon, January 28, 2026, in Barangay Canlubang, Calamba City.
Arrested were alyas Rodolfo Jr., 45, and alyas Robert, 52, both residents of Majada In Housing, Barangay Canlubang. The suspects were apprehended at around 2:57 PM along Majada In after they were allegedly caught selling illegal drugs to an undercover police operative.
The operation was carried out under PDEA Coordination Control No. 4-00-01282026-004, which resulted in the confiscation of more or less six (6) grams of suspected shabu with an estimated street value of ₱40,800.00. Authorities also recovered marked buy-bust money and several other pieces of evidence.
From Rodolfo Jr., police seized six sachets of suspected shabu, two ₱50 bills as recovered money, a .45 caliber pistol (Kimber, Yonkers USA) with serial number 628057, one magazine, four live ammunition rounds, a white coin purse, and a black sling bag. Meanwhile, from Robert, authorities recovered one ₱500 bill marked “DAVR,” which was used as buy-bust money.
The suspects are facing charges for Violation of Sections 5 and 11 in relation to Section 26, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), as well as Violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Police said the entire operation was documented using one body-worn camera (BWC) and one alternative recording device (ARD). The suspects were properly informed of their Miranda Rights and the Anti-Torture Warning Act upon arrest.
The arrested individuals are currently under the custody of Calamba CCPS for documentation and inquest proceedings. An initial investigation report has already been submitted to the Police Intelligence Unit (PIU).
The case is being investigated by PCpl Michael C. Destura, under the supervision of PLTCOL Dennis C. De Guzman, Officer-in-Charge of Calamba City Police Station.
Authorities reiterated their commitment to intensifying anti-illegal drug operations to ensure the safety and security of Calamba City residents.
