LAGUNA-Kaagad na tinanggap ng Police Regional Office (PRO 4A) ang imbestigasyong isinasagawa ng National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) kaugnay ng reklamong administratibo laban sa mga tauhan ng Angono Municipal Police Station dahil sa umano’y grave misconduct at conduct unbecoming of a police officer na inihain ni Nestor Makabenta Jr.

Ayon kay PRO 4A Regional Director PBGen Paul Kenneth Lucas, magsasagawa rin ang kanilang tanggapan ng hiwalay at parallel internal investigation upang matukoy ang pananagutan ng mga sangkot at matiyak ang pagsunod sa due process.

Binigyang-diin din ni Lucas na hindi kukunsintihin ng PRO 4A ang anumang uri ng pang-aabuso o paglabag sa batas at mananagot ang sinumang mapatutunayang nagkasala alinsunod sa umiiral na mga patakaran ng Pambansang Pulisya.

Ang reklamo ay may kaugnayan sa umano’y pagtatanim ng ilegal na droga at pangingikil ng pera laban sa complainant na isang third year criminology student.

Ayon sa salaysay, inaresto si Makabenta Jr. noong Nobyembre 10, 2025 sa Botong Francisco Avenue, Barangay San Isidro, Angono, Rizal at inakusahan ng pagbebenta ng ilegal na droga.

Iginiit din ni Makabenta Jr. na hiningan umano siya ng 50,000 pesos at nawalan ng personal na gamit habang nasa kustodiya ng pulisya.

Dinismiss ng korte ang kasong illegal drugs laban kay Makabenta Jr. at nakalaya ito noong Enero 27, habang patuloy namang iniimbestigahan ang 10 pulis na sinampahan ng kaso at reklamo sa NAPOLCOM.
