QUEZON—Dalawa ang kumpirmadong nasawi habang dalawa ang sugatan sa isang malagim na aksidente sa Maharlika Highway, sa may bahagi ng Old Zigzag road entrance sa Sitio Amao, Barangay Silangang Malicboy, Pagbilao Miyerkules ng umaga.
Base sa report ng Pagbilao PNP, nangyari ang insidente dakong alas-10:15 ng umaga matapos mawalan umano ng kontrol ang isang wing van truck na kargado ng mga feeds habang bumabagtas sa pababang bahagi ng kalsada mula south direction o Atimonan area patungong direksyon ng bayan ng Pagbilao na
posibleng umanong nagkaroon ito ng problema sa preno.
Dahil dito, diretsong bumangga ang truck sa isang multicab na nakahinto sa gilid ng kalsada at papasok sana sa Old Zigzag Road.
Sa lakas ng banggaan, nakaladkad ang multicab ng ilang metro at bumangga pa ang truck sa isang puno ng niyog bago tuluyang nahulog sa ilog at tumagilid,
Dead on the spot ang driver ng multicab dahil sa tinamong matinding pinsala sa ulo at katawan.
Nasawi rin ang truck helper na naipit sa loob ng truck
sugatan naman ang driver ng truck at isang sakay ng multicab na agad isinugod sa Quezon Medical Center sa Lucena City upang magamot.
Patuloy ang retrieval operations ng mga rumespondeng tauhan mula sa Bureau of Fire Protection at MDRRMO habang iniimbestigahan pa ng mga awtoridad ang insidente.
