QUEZON — Anim na drug pisher ng ilegal na droga ang naaresto sa sunod-sunod na operasyon ng Quezon Police Provincial Office nitong Biyernes April 24, 2026.
Base sa report ng QPPO, isinagawa ang apat na magkakahiwalay na buy bust operation sa iba’t ibang bayan sa lalawigan ng Quezon, na nagresulta sa pagkakaaresto sa mga suapek at pagkakasamsam ng humigit-kumulang 17.96 gramo ng hinihinalang shabu na may tinatayang halagang mahigit P360,000 base sa standard valuation ng PDEA.
Pinakamalaking nakuha ay mula sa operasyon ng Lucena City Component Police Station at Mauban Municipal Police Station kung saan dalawang suspek ang nadakip sa buy-bust operation sa Brgy. Ibabang Talim sa Lucena City, habang isa pa ang naaresto sa Brgy. Sadsaran sa bayan ng Mauban.
Kasunod nito, tatlo pang suspek ang naaresto sa hiwalay na operasyon ng Sariaya at Infanta Municipal Police Station.
Lahat ng mga suspek ay mahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Ayon kay Quezon Provincial Director PCOL Romulo A. Albacea, patuloy ang pinaigting na operasyon ng Quezon Pulis laban sa ilegal na droga upang mapanatili ang kaayusan at kaligtasan sa lalawigan.
Kaugnay nito, hinihikayat din ng pulisya ang publiko na makipagtulungan sa mga awtoridad sa laban kontra sa droga.
