CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — The City Government of Calamba has received 12 prestigious recognitions from the Provincial Health Office, highlighting the city’s continued commitment to delivering quality healthcare services and advancing public health programs for its residents.


Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal welcomed the achievement, emphasizing that the awards reflect the city’s sustained efforts to improve the well-being of every Calambeño.


“Isang karangalan para sa Lungsod ng Calamba na makatanggap ng iba’t ibang pagkilala mula sa Provincial Health Office bilang patunay ng ating patuloy na pagsisikap na mapabuti ang kalusugan at kapakanan ng bawat Calambeño.”

Active Initiative in Promoting and Implementing the Tobacco Prevention and Control Program

Most Improved LGU in Vector-Borne Disease Prevention and Control

Newly Accredited HIV Service Facility

Excellence in the Implementation of Family Planning Services

Excellence in Certified Adolescent Friendly Health Facility Performance (Level 2 and 3)

Outstanding Basic Emergency Obstetric Neonatal Care (BEmONC) Services

Institutionalizing Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Health (DRM-H)

Best Performing Local Government Unit in Terms of Voluntary Blood Services Program

The awards recognize Calamba’s efforts across a wide range of healthcare initiatives, including disease prevention and control, maternal and child healthcare, adolescent health services, blood donation programs, mental health promotion, disaster preparedness in health, and community-based health education.


Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal attributed the accomplishment to the collective efforts of healthcare professionals, barangay health workers, government personnel, and residents who actively support and participate in the city’s health programs.


“Ang mga parangal na ito ay bunga ng sama-samang pagkilos ng ating mga healthcare workers, barangay health workers, kawani ng pamahalaan, at ng bawat mamamayang nakikiisa sa ating mga programang pangkalusugan.”
The mayor also reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to further strengthening healthcare services and expanding programs that promote the health and safety of the community.


“Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang mga serbisyong medikal at programang pangkalusugan upang masiguro ang isang mas malusog, mas ligtas, at mas matatag na Calamba para sa lahat.”

The latest recognition underscores Calamba City’s ongoing efforts to build a responsive and inclusive healthcare system, ensuring that quality health services remain accessible to its growing population.
