Matagumpay  na Inaresto ng Northern Police District (NPD), sa pamamagitan ng Valenzuela City Police Station (VCPS), ang isang 33-anyos na lalaking itinuturing na ‘High-Value Individual’ (HVI) at nakumpiska ang humigit-kumulang 150 gramo ng pinaghihinalaang shabu na may tinatayang Standard Drug Price (SDP) na β‚±1,020,000.00 sa isang buy-bust operation sa Barangay Veinte Reales, Valenzuela City noong gabi ng Hulyo 22, 2026.


Isinagawa ang operasyon ng mga operatiba ng Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) matapos ang maayos na pakikipag-ugnayan sa Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) at sa paggamit ng mga Body-Worn Camera (BWC) upang matiyak ang transparency at pananagutan sa kabuuan ng operasyon.



Naaresto ang suspek matapos umanong magbenta ng isang pakete ng pinaghihinalaang shabu sa isang undercover na pulis. Sa isinagawang body search, narekober din ang iba pang pakete ng pinaghihinalaang shabu, buy-bust money, pera, mga personal na gamit, at isang motorsiklo na pinaniniwalaang ginamit ng suspek. Ang mga nakumpiskang ilegal na droga ay tumitimbang ng humigit-kumulang 150 gramo na may tinatayang Standard Drug Price (SDP) na β‚±1,020,000.00.


Ang naarestong suspek ay nasa kustodiya na ng pulisya at haharap sa mga kasong paglabag sa Sections 5 at 11, Article II ng Republic Act No. 9165, na kilala rin bilang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, sa pamamagitan ng inquest proceedings.


Muling pinagtibay ng Northern Police District ang kanilang pangako na paigtingin ang mga operasyon laban sa ilegal na droga, bilang bahagi ng patuloy na pagsisikap nitong protektahan ang mga komunidad mula sa masasamang epekto ng ilegal na droga at tiyakin ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng publiko.
