Camp BGen Vicente P Lim- The leader of a notorious drug group fell in the hands of the joint operatives of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Cavite Police Provincial Office and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 4A in Brgy. H2, Dasmariñas City, Cavite on November 28, 2022.

DEU operatives identified the drug group leader as Bernie Dayson Tibatib alias ‘Bernie’, 33 yrs old, resident of Brgy. Santa Lucia, Dasmariñas City, Cavite, listed as High Value Individual (HVI) in Dasmariñas CPS Drugs Watchlist. Said suspect was identified as the leader of Tibatib Drug Group and a member of De Nava Gun-for Hire Group.

Based on the report, PDEU of Cavite PPO conducted buy bust operation that led in the arrest of the drug group leader and confiscation of 1 piece plastic sachet containing marijuana leaves and 1 brick of dried leaves and stem of marijuana weighing more or less 1.1 Kilograms valued at Php165,000.00 and monetary bill as boodle money.

The drug suspect will be facing charges for violation of section 5 and 11, Article 2 of RA 9165 of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002

RD Nartatez commended the Cavite Police Provincial Office for the arrest of the notorious leader of Tibatib Drug Group which operates in the City of Dasmariñas. He also directed the Chief of Police of Dasmariñas and other operating units to further investigate for the arrest of the remaining members of the group.

“I am directing all operating units to intensify the intelligence gathering and surveillance to this drug group which is also connected to a gun for hire group. We cannot afford to lose this momentum, we have to double our efforts and deepen our investigation for the arrest of the members of Tibatib Drug Group. These criminals have no place in this region. We will make sure that this group will be dismantled and its members will be put to jail,” the Regional Director added.
