Mayor Ross Rizal Champions Calamba’s Culinary Pride at Anilag 2026

SANTA CRUZ, Laguna — The City Government of Calamba actively joined the vibrant celebration of the Anilag Festival Level Up 2026, as Mayor Roseller “Ross” H. Rizal personally led the city’s participation during the festival’s third day, highlighting local cuisine, culture, and unity among Laguna’s towns and cities.

A key feature of the event was Hapag Laguna, a colorful culinary showcase that brought together the rich flavors and creativity of the province. Mayor Rizal expressed his full support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of promoting Calamba’s culinary identity as part of its cultural heritage.

“Tayo’y buong pusong nakiisa sa ika-3 araw ng Anilag Festival Level Up 2026 kung saan ating sinuportahan ang mga kalahok sa Hapag Laguna—isang makulay na pagtatanghal ng galing at sarap ng lutuing Laguna. Patuloy nating ipinagmamalaki at itinatampok ang mga pagkaing Calambeño bilang bahagi ng ating mayamang kultura at identidad sa buong probinsya,” Mayor Rizal said.

During the visit, the mayor toured Calamba’s booth along with other exhibits from neighboring cities and municipalities, all of which showcased the diversity and unity of Laguna’s communities.

“Ating binisita ang ating booth at ang iba’t ibang booth mula sa mga karatig lungsod at bayan ng Laguna, na nagpapakita ng pagkakaisa at sama-samang pag-unlad. Tunay ngang sa bawat putahe at bawat ngiti, dama ang diwa ng Anilag—ang pagdiriwang ng ating pinagmulan at pag-usbong bilang isang lalawigan,” he added.

The Anilag Festival, known as Laguna’s grand cultural celebration, continues to serve as a platform for promoting local products, traditions, and tourism, while strengthening camaraderie among its people.
