CAVINTI, LAGUNA – The 202nd Infantry (Unifier) Brigade under the leadership of Brig. General Cerilo C Balaoro Jr. conferred the Command Plaque and individual awards to the members of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 4A, Police Regional Office CALABARZON during the Brigade’s Monday Flag Raising and Awarding Ceremonies on January 23, 2023 (Monday) at Headquarters, 202nd Infantry Brigade, Brgy West Talaongan, Cavinti, Laguna.
The awarding activity was held to give due recognition to the successful Internal Security Operations (ISO) of RMFB 4A against the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) in CALABARZON that contributed to the overall accomplishment of 202nd Brigade’s mission.

The RMFB 4A awardees were spearheaded by the Force Commander Police Lt. Colonel Agosto Asuncion, who led his men during the successful joint law enforcement operations and ISO in CALABARZON.

It can be recalled that on December 23, 2022, the joint AFP-PNP law enforcement operations resulted to the apprehension of Melanie Sumayang y Reyes @JAYA/HILDA/JUDAY, Secretary of Komiteng Sentrong Bayan (KSB) Rizal under Sub-Regional Military Area (SRMA) 4A by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court, Forth Judicial Region, Branch 64, Mauban, Quezon under Criminal Case Number 19-4393 and 19-4394 for two (2) counts of frustrated homicide dated September 5, 2019.

Further, the RMFB 4A was also instrumental in the apprehension of Antonio P CULE @DADS/DARWIN/BANJO/FURY, Head of the Finance Staff and Executive Committee (EXECOM) member, SRMA 4-A also during a joint law enforcement operation by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Regional Trial Court, 4th Judicial Region, Branch 65, Infanta, Quezon under Criminal Case Number 2021-222-1 for murder dated September 26 2021.

In his message, Brig. General Cerilo C Balaoro Jr, Commander, 202nd Infantry (Unifier) Brigade extended his sincerest appreciation to the PRO CALABARZON, and RMFB 4A, for their commitment and dedication to duty to finally put an end to the local communist armed conflict in the region. “I want to congratulate all the PNP personnel involved for their bravery, perseverance, hard work, and exemplary performance of their tasks that contributed to the success of these ISO and law enforcement operations.”
The momentous activity is part of the Commander’s trust in recognizing the efforts of partner stakeholders who are continuously supporting the unit’s overall mission.

Aside from law enforcement operations, Army and Police personnel under the 202Bde and PRO 4A, respectively, are actively engaging the Communist Terrorist Group’s Affected Mass Organizations and Sectoral Front Organizations in CALABARZON in order to reorient and redirect them thru the conduct of joint AFP-PNP Community Support Programs.
