Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia, Imus City – Cavite Police Provincial Office, spearheaded by PCol Christopher F Olazo, Provincial Director, launched the “Provincial Youth Summit 2023” in connection with the nationwide anti-illegal drug advocacy program of the SILG dubbed as BIDA (Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan) Program and the KASIMBAYANAN (Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan) program of our Chief PNP and was held on March 18, 2023 at the Imus Sport Complex, F. Tirona, Barangay Poblacion 2B, Imus City, Cavite.

The Provincial Youth Summit aims to mobilize, equip, and empower the youths of Cavite to be strong partners for the anti-illegal drugs campaign and community mobilization program of the government. It also aims to raise awareness among the youth about the dangers of drug use and promote a drug-free lifestyle.

The summit was graced by USEC. Felicito A. Valmocina, Undersecretary, DILG, Brgy. Affairs, as Guest of Honor and Speaker.

Also present on the said summit were Hon. Ram Revilla Bautista, Board Member, 2nd District Cavite; LGOO VI Joseph Ryan V. Geronimo, CLGOO of Imus City; Hon. Tom Carlo R. Ardemer, President, Provincial SK Federation together with 2,484 Cavite SK Presidents and Council Members, and other distinguished guests.

A lecture about Battle Against Drugs (BAD) was also discussed by Rev. Ephraim T. Segovia, Regional Director, CALABARZON, BADs and followed by speakers from the Hands Off Our Children Movement Advocacy, wherein they shared their insights and experiences.

Overall, the Provincial Youth Summit was a success, with the participants leaving with a better understanding of the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of living a drug-free life. The Cavite Police hope that this event will serve as an activator for more initiatives that promote healthy and responsible living among the youth in the province.
