Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA has already formed Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) to conduct thorough investigation into the shooting of a media representative that transpired on Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at around 4:20 AM in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro.
“The SITG is composed of experienced investigators from Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office to be led by PCOL SAMUEL S DELORINO, Provincial Director”, said PBGEN DORIA.
Based on police reports, the victim identified as Cresenciano Aldovino Bunduquin, 50, a resident of Barangay Canubing II, Calapan City, who is a Radio Commentator working for DWXR 101.7 Kalahi FM MUX Online Radio, was shot in front of a Sari-sari store located along C5 road in Brgy. Sta. Isabel, of the said city.
The report further revealed that individuals on a motorcycle (White Honda XRM 125 with plate numbers DD 22153) pulled up to the store, and one of them approached and shot the victim.
The victim was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead-on-arrival (DOA).
“We take this incident very seriously, and we will do everything in our power to ensure that the death of Cresencio Bunduquin will be brought to justice. Likewise, I urge the public who may have information regarding the incident to come forward to expedite the resolution of the incident.” said PBGEN DORIA.
Further, the MIMAROPA top cop has called on anyone with information on the incident to come forward and cooperate with the authorities and likewise assured to give updates on the investigation as soon as they become available.
