Thirteen (13) high-powered firearms and short firearms were seized during the joint implementation of search warrants at Madriaga farm in Pangil, Laguna on July 29.

Laguna Police Provincial Director PCOL HAROLD P DEPOSITAR identified the suspects as alias Eduardo Prestado, farm security, and a resident of Rampage Madriaga Farm, Brgy. Galalan, Panguil, Laguna; alias Jonathan, farm caretaker of Madriaga’s Farm, native of Talaingod, Davao Del Norte and presently residing at Rampage Madriaga’s Farm, Brgy. Galalan, Panguil, Laguna; and alias Allan, farm caretaker, and a resident at Sulib, Pangil, Laguna.

The Provincial Special Operations Unit (Lead Unit) together with PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) Camp Crame, SWAT Team, 1st and 2nd Laguna Provincial Mobile Force Company (LPMFC), and Pangil Municipal Police Station (MPS) launched the operations on July 29, 2023, at Rampage Madriaga’s Farm, Brgy. Galalan, Panguil, Laguna in implementation of the search warrants for violation of RA 10591 issued on July 27, 2023, by the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Court, Lucena City, Quezon.

Seized during the operations were two (2) units of M16 riffle with seven (7) magazines and several pieces of ammunition, three (3) units of 12 gauge shot gun with several pieces of ammunitions, two (2) units of cal. .22 rifle with several pieces of ammunitions, one (1) unit of lever action 30-30 Winchester Rifle, one (1) unit STI cal .40 pistol with two (2) pieces magazine and several pieces of ammunition, one (1) unit of Beretta .9mm pistol with two (2) pieces magazine and several pieces of ammunition, one (1) unit of submachine ingram (uzi) with two pieces of magazine and several pieces of ammunition and attached with suppressor, one (1) unit of .357 revolver with several pieces of ammunition, one (1) unit of caliber .38 revolver, and a sling bag.

The suspects are now in the custody of Pangil MPS and cases for violation of RA 10591 were filed against them at the Prosecutor’s Office.

PCOL DEPOSITAR said, “The farm is allegedly owned by the leader of the Madriaga Kidnap-for-ransom group that operates in Metro Manila and CALABARZON Region. This group is well-versed in handling firearms as they have high-powered firearms and have their own firing range therein; thus, upon receipt of the search warrant issued by the court on July 27, this year, we immediately and carefully worked on it to ensure the success of the operation.”
