Quezon Police Director, PCOL Ledon D Monte, reported that a high-value drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy. Ibabang Dupay, Lucena City, Quezon in the wee hours of August 9, 2023.
The suspect was identified as Alibsar Macarangkat Macasari, a 35-year-old, native of Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur and residing in GMA, Quezon.
According to the report of the QPPO Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU), Macasari was arrested after he sold one sachet of suspected shabu to an operative who acted as a poseur-buyer.
In the course of his arrest, another sachets of suspected shabu were confiscated from his possession. In total, more or less 400 grams of suspected shabu with Dangerous Drug Board value of Php 2,720,000.00 and Street Value of Php 8,200,000.00 were confiscated during the operation.
The suspect is now under the custody of Lucena City Police Station while charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act are being readied against him.
In a statement, PCOL Monte assures the public of its continuous efforts to eradicate illegal drugs in the province.
